A buckle composed of two rectangular sections, the front framed with twisted wire. The surface is filled with enamel set in compartments, arranged symmetrically in the form of flowers, leaves and rosettes. The painted-enamel leaves appear in blue and black, while the flowers are rendered in pale pink. At the centre is an applied cloisonné-enamel rosette, surmounted by an unmounted natural pearl.
