A rectangular snuff box decorated with a depiction of Neptune’s sea chariot. On the white enamelled lid, Neptune is shown seated in a golden chariot moving across the waves, drawn by four sea horses; he wears a crown and holds a trident in his hand. The inside of the lid is decorated with a polychrome bouquet of small flowers and scattered flowering sprigs. Painted enamel on copper, with metal mounts.
